JABBERWOCKY is a spacious 50 foot Beneteau single hulled sailing yacht. She has a mainsail and 125% genoa (the powerhouse of the yacht) which in good sailing conditions can push her to 9 knots – not bad for a 22 ton cruising yacht. She is easy to sail and guests are welcome to take their turn steering and assisting with sail hoists, etc if they wish, although sitting back, relaxing and letting the scenery slide by is just fine too. Above all she is completely safe and offers a great introduction to sailing for everyone from the nervous novice to those looking for the excitement of some “real” sailing on a real yacht.
She is equipped to a high standard with four double cabins (one crew cabin and three double guest cabins) Each cabin has a cooling fan, generous cupboard and locker space and ensuite shower and toilet.
JABBERWOCKY has a state of the art sound system including MP3 and Bluetooth connection, so do not forget to bring your ipad or iphone to enjoy your own choice of music.
She has a fully equipped kitchen (galley) and water storage to make the yacht self sufficient for up to a week.
On deck there is plenty of space to sunbathe, but with room to relax out of the sun under the large bimini (sunshade) which shades the cockpit . A swim ladder provides easy access to the sea from the swim platform on the stern. There is even a fresh water shower so you can rinse off after your swim.
JABBERWOCKY is equipped with snorkelling masks, fins and noodles together with a dinghy and 15hp outboard for trips to snorkeling spots and the beach.
JABBERWOCKY complies with Antiguan and international safety standards and is subject to annual inspection. She carries 16 lifejackets (including a baby size) and two liferafts in case of emergency.
