| Two Days
Green Island lies just off the south
eastern coast of Antigua at the entrance to Nonsuch Bay. Starting
from the historic setting of Nelson's Dockyard in English Harbour an
adrenaline charged sail upwind brings you to the shelter of Green
Island and its adjacent reef. Anchored in calm water inside the reef
you can look out eastwards into the Atlantic knowing that nothing
lies between you and Africa
Swim and snorkel from the yacht or ride in the dinghy across to
Green Island with its reefs and beaches.
As dinner is served watch a myriad of stars appear in a night sky
clear of artificial light.
Next morning after breakfast and perhaps another swim or snorkel
enjoy an exhilarating downwind sail back to English Harbour |

Great Bird Island lies
off the north western coast of Antigua and offers superb snorkelling
swimming or just relaxing. Starting from English Harbour or Jolly
Harbour Jabberwocky
sails clockwise north and then east
around the northern coast of Antigua to the reef strewn area south
of Jumby Bay. As the afternoon draws on the area becomes quieter
leaving the reef and island for your undisturbed pleasure.
After sunset enjoy the freshly prepared dinner whilst watching the
lights of Antigua in the distance |

Three days
This opens up various options including
an extension of the itineraries around Antigua or a open sea passage
to another island |

Guadaloupe
which is a French colony lies 45 miles south of Antigua and offers 6
or 7 hours sailing trip in each direction with a day ashore in
between.
On the first day departing from the historic Nelson’s Dockyard in
English Harbour (after clearing customs
and immigration) to enjoy an open sea passage to Deshailes on the
north western coast of Guadaloupe arriving in time for a visit
ashore to sample the French ambiance.
On the second day (whilst the Captain deals with customs and
immigration matters) hire a car or take a taxi trip into the
mountains to walk through the rain forests to waterfalls or enjoy
the French influence in the Caribbean and dine ashore.
On the third day after fresh breakfast a sail back to English
Harbour in time to deal with customs and immigration and disembark
at about 4.30pm |

Barbuda lies 25
miles north of Antigua (being only 115 feet at its highest point)
and offers reefs
and deserted beaches.
Starting from Jolly Harbour we sail north along the western coast of
Antigua and then across open sea to reach Barbuda by about 3 pm and a chance for a late afternoon
swim or snorkel.
Enjoy a freshly prepared dinner under a starlit night sky unspoilt
by artificial light.
After breakfast enjoy a day of swimming and snorkelling or going
ashore to explore the northern parts of the island by taxi or to
enjoy the mile
long beaches.
On day three after a leisurely breakfast and perhaps a quick final
swim, sail back to English Harbour to arrive back at about 4.30pm |
